" Something Visible Yet Not Visible "
Bones are the most basic physical elements of humans and at the same time an invisible element. It is not a symbol of fear or death, but a symbol of human essence and nature to me. Also, this can be earnest desires, dreams, hopes, or the most important and valuable one.
This is in line with my works which people cannot realize the existence of other images or find it hard to recognize the whole image when focusing only on one image. Especially, in the case of the reflective skull that I deal with often, the images on it look distorted and transformed depending on where it is placed, even though there is actually nothing changed.
There is neither a useless dream and effort nor a useless person in the world. The reason why we are frustrated and confused is that we have not found our use yet and that we are shaken and given up countless times by the influence of the surroundings. My works contain a message telling everyone as well as myself to keep what is most precious and important and to keep walking our path firmly.
